WHEN SUCCESS COMES

I'm a writer — I write
But you say I'm a puppy — I've got no bite.
I'm a champion — I ride without pedals.
Yet you say I'm a loser — I've got no medals.

You sit and judge
While I work and forge
You die in grudge
While I failure dodge.

Today I'm down, tomorrow I'll rise
I failed you say, but now I'm wise
I strife today, but for a price
Success: the whole, not a slice.

Success is like whirlwind
No force on earth can rescind
It drums beats without bands
Carves images without hands.

It jumps where men cannot stand
Weaves magic with but one strand
Matches fearlessly into any land
And not even 'you' can understand.

Today, I hit hard on the door of success
For soon, I know she'll come.
And when she comes, I'll silence my critics
Birthing writes with an undying ink.
